Evolve LTE Handheld
A rugged LTE handheld device built for enterprise and public safety
The Evolve handheld LTE device combines intuitive user experience and open platform architecture with the ruggedness and reliability expected of a critical communications device. Evolve enables seamless communications across different locations and networks.

Man-in-water sensor
The man-in-water sensor is using your Motorola professional radio equipment to broadcast an emergency alarm to the control centre. The sensor is attached to your lifejacket and will trigger a search & rescue operation within seconds. Your colleagues will be your first line of support receiving an alarm message with your GPS position. The control centre will be simultaneously informed and coordinate the rescue operation to bring you back to safety.
The man-in-water solution is offers a search & rescue feature to track the live position of the man-in-water.

Accessories
The system offers a large selection of accessories

Rescue control center integration
Man-in-water alarms can be transferred to the rescue center via three different channels (SMS, UDP broadcast, and Wave PTX). The alarm is displayed inside an alarm-list (below) and the operator is able to publish an estimated time-to-rescue
System description
Distress Mode
When a radio user triggers an alarm, all radios on the same network will receive the alarm. These radios will then automatically change function and go into Search and rescue (SAR) mode, where they can get an overview of where the person in distress is located.
The Man-In-Water radio when switching to emergency mode, automatically enters into a PTT voice loop to enable voice communications without having to press the PTT button.
BLUETOOTH MAN-IN-WATER DETECTOR

Advantages
The radio-sensor connectivity is done via Bluetooth leaving the PTT/headset port port available.
This solution is appreciated by operators who are now able to combine the safety requirement of a man-water-detector with the use of hardwired audio-microphone headsets.
The bluetooth sensor is completely water-proof. The wireless connection is free of all corrosion issues that could have altered the propagation of the man-in-water alarm.
Limitations
The sensor is running on its own battery which needs to be recharged.
Sensors use an induction charger for charging
Expected battery life is 250 hours.
